In the Diocese of St. Augustine, the Cathedraticum is named Parish Sharing, as the spirit of the initiative is a way for parishes to share with the Curia, the generosity of the faithful. Monthly Parish Sharing remittances support the administrative function of the curia including the offices of the Bishop, the Chancellor and Vicars, the Office of Education, Stewardship and Development, Fiscal, Human Resources and others.

The calculation is performed monthly and is a percentage of offertory and other donations.  Certain donations are excluded from the calculation such as approved Capital Campaigns and Donations for a Specific Purpose. The percentages are a sliding scale based on size of parish offertory with smaller parishes paying a smaller percentage. The percentages range from 5% to 22%.
